How to use the Quordle answer finder
- Choose the word you’re stuck on: Word 1 to Word 4, in the same order as the game’s four grids.
- Correct letters: type each green letter in its spot.
- Misplaced letters: type each yellow letter under the spot where it showed yellow. If a letter was yellow in two spots, add it to both boxes.
- Excluded letters: type the grey letters for that word. Each grid colours your guesses separately, so a letter can be grey in one grid and yellow in another.
- The list updates as you type, with everyday words first. Tap a word to copy it.
Each word keeps its own clues, so you can switch between the four words without losing anything.
How Quordle works
Quordle is like playing four games of Wordle at once. You have nine guesses to find four five-letter words, and every guess is entered into all four grids at the same time. Each grid colours the letters for its own word: green for the right letter in the right spot, yellow for a letter in the word but in another spot, and grey for a letter that isn’t in that word.
Quordle strategy
- Use your first two or three guesses to cover common letters. Words like “CRANE”, “SLOTH” and “PUDGY” test fifteen different letters, which gives clues on all four grids.
- Finish the easiest word first. A solved word stops using guesses, and its letters are clues for the others.
- Watch the guess count. With nine guesses for four words, you can afford about one “scouting” guess; after that, every guess should be able to solve a word.
- Remember repeated letters. Answers like “LEVEL” or “GEESE” are possible, so a yellow letter might appear twice.

Is Quordle an NYT game?

How is this different from a Wordle solver?
It’s the same idea, four times: Quordle has four answers, so you keep separate clues for each word. For Wordle, use the Wordle solver or today’s Wordle hint.
Why isn’t the answer in the list?
Check that each letter is in the right colour and spot, and that grey letters come from the same grid. A letter that’s grey in one grid can still be in another word.
Does it work for Octordle or other variants?
Yes, for any game with five-letter words and green, yellow and grey clues: use one word tab per grid.
