How to use the Word Hunt solver
- Choose the board size: 4×4 (the usual game) or 5×5.
- Type the letters row by row, left to right. The cursor moves on by itself, and you can also paste all the letters at once.
- When the board is full, every word appears, longest first. Tap a word to see its path numbered on the board, then trace it in the game.
How words are formed
A word is a chain of neighbouring letters. Each step can go up, down, left, right or diagonally, and each tile can be used only once in a word. Words have at least three letters.
Points
The solver uses the usual Word Hunt scoring, where longer words are worth far more:
| Letters | Points |
|---|---|
| 3 | 100 |
| 4 | 400 |
| 5 | 800 |
| 6 | 1,400 |
| 7 | 1,800 |
| 8 | 2,200 |
| 9+ | 2,600 (+400 per extra letter) |
Tips
- Go for the longest words first: one 6-letter word beats several short ones.
- Look for common endings on the board: -ING, -ED, -ER, -EST.
- Plurals count: if you find a word, check whether an S next to its last letter makes a longer one.
Frequently asked questions
Will every word be accepted in the game?
Most will. The game uses its own dictionary, so a few rare words here may be rejected and a few game words may be missing. Sort by “Common words first” with the gear icon to try everyday words first.
Why does the solver need the whole board?
Words can run in any direction, so a missing letter could break any of them. Fill every square for complete results.
